I recently spent about 7 hours wandering around the downtown for an article on life after dark in Toronto. I met a guy who was fighting with his girlfriend (and had gone out to buy groceries at 2 AM to appease her), a UofT student with gold teeth, a very nice bartender, a bored police officer, an incredibly soft-spoken first year, the drummer for an Aerosmith cover band, and three people who were hula-hooping in Robarts to relieve stress.

It was a great night.

when i think about how i feel about toronto, i get teary-eyed. wahhhh crybaby
